The island tour by boat gave us a wonderful view of Ratua from the water, and we spotted so many huge turtles just metres from the beach. Some surfaced while we were having dinner on the deck, a magical moment. We also had a private trip to the Malo Blue Lagoon, went horse riding into the ocean for a swim, and the staff took my son to see the farm animals, which he loved. Kayaks and snorkelling were right there whenever we wanted them. Ratua is pristine and so well maintained, with gorgeous beaches and breathtaking sunsets each evening. There was even a fire on the beach. Our room was clean and comfortable, perfectly placed to enjoy the natural beauty. The meals were a highlight too, some of the best we've had. We loved the lobster BBQ lunch, caught fresh that morning, and every meal was made with care and flavour. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, attentive and genuinely keen to make our stay special. A big thank you to Roxy and Ollie for making us feel so welcome. Nothing was ever too much trouble. It's hard to describe how special this stay was. Ratua Island is a place that stays with you, and we'll absolutely return.

Horse riding across the island, swimming with the horses in the ocean, snorkelling in pristine water and kayaking in calm surroundings gave us so many lovely family memories. We came back each day to outstanding meals and wonderful cocktails. Everything felt thoughtful and relaxed. Ratua Island Resort & Spa has a rare feel: luxurious without being pretentious, secluded without feeling isolating, and refined without losing its soul. What makes it special is the people. Every staff member was warm, genuine, attentive and quietly professional. Nothing felt forced. Together they created a joyful, welcoming atmosphere that felt deeply human. A special thank you to the manager, Roxi and Olivier. Roxi is a caring, present and wonderfully kind leader, and their warmth made our stay personal and meaningful. You can feel the spirit of the resort in the way they lead. We're deeply grateful for the memories and will be back soon, and often. Thank you to the whole Ratua family for an unforgettable family experience ❤️

The cabins were rustic and lovely, right by the beach but set apart from one another, so it felt quiet and private. During my few days at Ratua in May 2025, the staff were incredibly welcoming. Of all the places we'd stayed, this felt like the most authentic island-life experience. We joined a traditional kava tasting ceremony and learned a lot more about Vanuatu and its culture. After I got home overseas, I realised I'd left something behind. The staff helped search for it and found it. Getting anything posted from Santo was difficult, but the owner Ben went above and beyond to get my lost item back to me. Thank you for such a wonderful stay :)

We were greeted with fresh coconuts and friendly smiles, and had the resort to ourselves until the new guests arrived late in the afternoon. The snorkelling with turtles was incredible, and watching them while we ate lunch was just as amazing. My fiancé and I bought a day pass for Ratua, and it was the best choice we made on our Vanuatu trip. The staff were so friendly, especially the manager Emanual, who took us around the island on his 4 wheeler and dropped us at good snorkelling spots on the other side. Our price included boat pickup and drop-off from our hotel on Aore Island, a 3-course lunch, kayaks, paddle boards and snorkelling gear. Well worth it. We'll definitely stay here next time we come to vanuatu.

We anchored off Ratua Island and were invited to use the facilities and have a meal at the resort. It's beautiful, the food was delicious, and the hospitality and service were outstanding. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We loved waking up and looking out over the lovely resort. Thanks for a wonderful few days, we'd highly recommend it.
