The hosts were kind and attentive, which made the stay feel personal and memorable. It was a warm, welcoming place, with spacious rooms and lush, relaxing gardens. The property was peaceful, beautifully landscaped, and very comfortable. Truly a gem.

The owner and dogs gave us a warm welcome, and the property and garden are beautiful. That’s why I’m giving it three stars. The rooms really need updating and feel worn down. At check-in, all the windows were open, so we had to chase lizards out of the room and kill mosquitoes. The same thing happened the second night when we got back late: the windows had been opened again without us asking, while all our belongings were in the room. Breakfast and dinner were good, but the wait was long.

The furniture and carpet are a little worn and could use an update, but otherwise we had a good stay. Emma is very friendly, and her guesthouse has an amazing garden. It’s about 20 minutes from the Addo Nationalpark main entrance. Breakfast was nice, with a selection of freshly made eggs. We enjoyed the very good dinner too, though the flies and mosquitoes under the lamps were a bit annoying.

The staff in the eatery were amazing, and both breakfast and dinner were very good. At Geralds gift guesthouse the rooms were spacious and nice. We didn’t really get a welcome, just a very brief one, though maybe that was because of the rain.
