The chalet was dirty and freezing, with no heater. When we moved to another one, there was no hot water, and the restaurant only had a small part of its menu available. The website looks great but is badly out of date and doesn’t match the place. It seemed like no maintenance had been done for at least a decade. Someone had broken into our chalet before we arrived, leaving everything in a mess, then there was another break-in at the restaurant the first night. There’s no fence, and the security gate they put in front of the chalet door made us feel really unsafe. Way too expensive for such a bad experience.

The steak was cooked just right and came with a nice choice of vegetables. Prices were reasonable too. I did miss the turnoff sign straight after leaving the main road, so I ended up on a gravel track, but oh well.

The website says self catering, but there weren’t any utensils, dishes, or cutlery. Our chalet air conditioner was broken and it was sweltering, so we were moved to another cabin. That one’s air conditioner leaked, leaving water across the counter and floor, which I kept trying to mop up. I told the owner, but the problem was ignored all weekend. Under the bed, it looked like nobody had cleaned for months. There were two plugs for the kettle and fridge, but only one worked. The other was burnt out and still hadn’t been fixed. A disgrace and a waste of money.

We arrived Friday the 22/01/2021, and that night someone broke in and stole everything we had: wallets, cellphones, iPads, gaming headsets, handbags, and more. The owners had said the place was safe, with two armed response vehicles driving in and out 24/7. Yeah, right. LENMORE CLOSE YOUR DAME DOOR! As I write this, I’ve read other reviews describing the same things. Worst place I’ve ever booked, and the owners are awful.

There’s a good shop, pleasant surroundings, and a play area for kids, but the restaurant food was pretty bad. It was the worst meal we had during three weeks. Go for the shop, not to eat. We didn’t try the pizza, though, so maybe that was our mistake.
