Elson Lodge

I spent the first night scratching from the blanket, and when I asked for another one the next morning, I had to beg while they kept cleaning. At check-in they opened the gate for anyone, gave me a key without directions to the room, and the key worked on both room 2 and room 6, so I accidentally entered the wrong one. I could write a whole book about the poor service. Some guests are loud, and I can’t recommend the place.

I visited a lady at elson guest house. The place was dirty, and the bed felt like a jail bed.

The location is good, just around the corner from Alberton Mall, and the room was clean. It’s an average hotel, though, with service below average and only a fan for cooling. They couldn’t give me change for cash. I didn’t use or need the other services. It costs 460 Rand for a full day and night.

I had to cancel seven days before the agreed check-in date, after paying to secure the booking. They refused to return my money, even though their invoice policy says refunds are allowed. Worst service ever.
