Maz was kind and welcoming, and the place was spotless. I don't think you could find dirt even in the worst corners. It was peaceful apart from a high-pitched squeal from a neighbour's cat scarer or something, going off every eight seconds or so in the afternoon. It drove me mad, so I couldn't use the patio or leave the doors open as I'd wanted. I think only some people hear it because Maz said she'd never noticed it, and my hearing is very sensitive. Aside from that, everything was perfect and already there, so I didn't have to think about a thing. I loved being able to keep the doors and windows open for fresh air, even overnight. The kitchen had a fridge/freezer and microwave, plus milk, little cereal boxes, biscuits, coffee, and more. There was a sweet table and two chairs by the door to the private patio, where I ate even though I was alone. I could have sunbathed nude there without anyone knowing or disturbing me. The plants and flowers were lovely. The spacious bathroom had a bath, shower, towels, body wash, soap, shampoo, conditioner, plenty of light, and mirrors. I could keep the patio door open while bathing. The bed was comfortable, and I slept as long as I wanted without being startled awake. There was a TV to watch from the bed or the little chair beside it. The Wi-Fi worked well, with connection instructions and other information in the kitchen book. It was a few minutes' walk from the beach and The Seal pub, but far enough away to avoid noise, just one road from Selsey high street. A peaceful few days away with no worries, a real relief.
