Ardmore Guest Farm

We liked Ardmore Guest Farm enough to add another night, and would happily return again. There’s plenty to do within about a 20-minute drive. Our unit was basic and rustic, but spotless and affordable, with no TV, just stacks of good books. After a long hike, the huge spa bath was heavenly. Check-in with Mandoza was exceptional. He offered lots of useful information, and Nurse, who helped us in the restaurant, was delightful. The location is great, though the last 4 km are on gravel, which wasn’t too bad.

We came for our honeymoon and were treated with so much kindness. The restaurant was excellent, with a different menu each night, so meals didn’t get repetitive. Breakfast was buffet style, along with a pre-selected dish. Our room was clean and had air conditioning, plus a spa bath in each bathroom. We booked for two people and ended up with a lovely, spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom room. There are friendly farm animals on the property, too. 10/10, definitely recommend.

We’ve visited the Drakensberg often, and this was easily our best stay so far. The dinners were lovely, breakfast was great, and Thandi was a wonderful waitress. The farm is quaint and charming, set in a stunning location. The rooms are cosier and more comfortable than the photos suggest. Ross and Mandoza were outstanding managers who went above and beyond to accommodate us. They’re also wonderful people to talk with, and helped make the whole stay what it was. Can’t wait to return.

We always feel welcome at Ardmore Guest Farm, thanks to the warm service from the staff and management. During this visit, they were attentive and caring throughout, and we really appreciated the thought they put into our anniversary. The meals were delicious and thoughtfully served. With the peaceful setting and beautiful scenery, it’s a lovely place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Thanks to Danie Smith, Ross du Plessis, and the whole team for a memorable stay. We’ll definitely pop in again.
