The location of 4 La Pirogue is ideal for beaches and shops, but the apartment was in very poor condition. We booked through the LekkeSlaap website. Among the problems: the fridge's glass shelves were broken and replaced with unvarnished wooden boards, which felt unhygienic; several saucepans had no lids; and the dining table had just four chairs for six people. There was only one set of keys for four adults and two vehicles, making it hard to come and go independently. Keys for doors and electrical adaptors were missing. A washing machine had been advertised, but there wasn't one. The main bedroom's door shutters couldn't be used because the runners were rusted, and we had to light the gas braai by hand because its automatic lighter didn't work. If you're considering 4 La Pirogue Ballito, I'd check whether these issues have been resolved.
