Heinz and his wife made us feel welcome, and our apartment was cleaned every day. The guest house is beautiful, and you can see how much pride they take in everything. It worked perfectly for our family. We had a lovely time at Beach Forest Lodge and will be back. Thank you!

Heinz was very good about keeping us updated during the power problems, which came from faults in the surrounding areas. The owners were accommodating and helped with every concern. When the curtain rail fell, Heinz fixed it within a day. We stayed in the Milkwood Suite, where the rooms were well kept, but the sliding door didn’t close all the way and the shower pressure was very weak. Those issues brought our rating to three stars, though we still had a lovely stay at The Beach Forest Lodge, a little forest haven near the Thompsons beach.

The owner and staff were friendly and very helpful, and the beach is very close. We had an amazing stay in a great unit, and the pool was amazing too. We’ll definitely come back.

The lodge isn’t within walking distance of the beach, but you can hear the waves hitting the shore, which is so relaxing. The furnishings are simple, yet the place feels comfortable and homely. My husband and I had an early anniversary celebration over the weekend, since we celebrate on the 15th October. I’d won the two-night stay through a radio station. From arrival to departure, the hostess and staff made us feel welcome and appreciated, always friendly and ready to help. Next time, we’ll be welcomed as friends, not guests.
