Coco De Mer Boutique Hotel

We stopped by this afternoon for a drink, but it turned into the worst experience. The waiter took our order and never brought the drinks over, even though they were ready. They sat at the bar for nearly 17 minutes, so we finally went and got them ourselves. I got no apology, just a cold, unprofessional manager with no customer service skills. The drinks were expensive, which made it all the more disappointing.

That bed was unbelievably comfortable. I even checked the brand so I could get one for myself, lol. The room was lovely, spotless, and beautiful, with a view facing the sea. Breakfast each morning was nice and just the right amount, cooked with care. Staff were quick to respond whenever I made a request or ordered room service. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed, 10/10, nothing to take away. I’d definitely come back.

Beachwood has a much better interior for its location. Here, the decor feels dark rather than ocean-inspired, and there were lots of mosquitoes around the pond, which had a spa-like feel. The bedding was dirty, as was the shower door.

I’ve travelled abroad, and I’d give this place five stars for its lovely touches of class. The rooms are clean, towels are changed daily, and beach towels are provided. The cotton is lush, and they provide good shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel instead of cheap stuff. They don’t skimp on the small details, and staff are willing to help with anything. The spa was fully booked, so I’m sure there’s a good reason and it must be fantastic. I couldn’t fault the hotel. They’ve managed to keep it free of mould and rust despite being near the coast, which is fantastic. I had a great birthday here. Thanks to Jay at the front desk and the two other staff on duty, the male receptionist and another woman. They went out of their way on short notice, with a cake and balloons. Wonderful help, and thanks for making this a stay to remember!
