I was in Barberton for the XCM and had a lovely stay. The place sits on the mountain slopes and is full of history. Apparently, its pool was the first one north of the Vaal River.

The hosts know the town really well and are accommodating with every guest. It's an amazing place to stay, and I'd highly recommend starting your visit there.

The people made this stay at the Fountain Baths unforgettable, especially the whole owners' family and how caring they are. They make you feel like part of the family. The food was a highlight too, and we had a music party at the bar that we really enjoyed. The accommodation was great and the pool was a nice extra. I hope I can visit again one day ❤️

We hadn't planned dinner, but the owner invited us to join them for a braai, and after a few drinks at the bar it turned into a wonderful, unexpected evening. It's heartwarming to find people in hospitality who really care. We arrived in Barberton around 19h00 without a booking, after a long, hot drive through Kruger Park with hardly any cell signal. The owner was friendly and understanding, and the clean room and inviting pool were just what I wanted. Thank you so much.

The owners' personal touch gives Fountain Baths a welcoming, homey feeling that will bring me back again and again. Set at the foot of the mountains, it has lovely views and a kind of serenity that's hard to find. I'm loving every moment here ❤️
