Gert met us when we arrived and was super friendly and helpful. The booking was easy, and the rooms were spotless, with everything needed for self-catering. The pool was a treat and just as clean. It's close to the shops and restaurants, and The Blue Cow Barn around the corner is great. Highly recommended.

The patio and braai area, with its green lawn and kids’ jungle gym, made the family unit lovely to spend time in. It sleeps up to 6, and there’s plenty of seating, a fully equipped kitchen, plus coffee, tea, milk and ice. Guests can also use the well-kept pool, sun loungers and swimming towels. Sandy's Place is a real gem for a stay of one night or 10.

Barrydale’s shops and restaurants are an easy walk away, though the setting itself is peaceful. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and we enjoyed the pool area too. Johan and Sterna were so friendly and gracious, they made the stay wonderful. I’d happily recommend Sandy’s Place if you’re passing through.

Our driver got stuck on the road and needed somewhere to stay at 8pm. Gert answered when I called, and very quickly had everything booked and sorted. He must have heard the panic in my voice. Thanks, Gert, that was gold star service.

Wonderful host, and the outdoor braai and pool were great. It felt like renting half a house, which worked perfectly for our family of 4. The second bedroom is a bit tight.
