The animal statuettes around the property were a fun conversation starter, and we spent most of our time in the big kitchen and outdoor area. The dishwasher made cleanup easy. It can get chilly in the evenings, so bring warm clothes for sitting around the braai. We also took a nice little outing to see penguins and dassies nearby. The house is beautiful and spacious, and we had an amazing visit. Great venue, area and experience. 5/5, would recommend!

At night we fell asleep to the sound of Atlantic waves breaking on the coast, then woke to birds singing as if welcoming us to their wonderland. The ocean views are amazing. Mountain Mist is a gem in Betty's Bay. The cottage sits peacefully on the foothills of the Kogelberg mountains, among Fynbos and wildflowers. It was more spacious and cleaner than we expected, with a modern kitchen and cleaning products provided.

We felt safe the whole time, which meant a lot while travelling with three teenagers. The kids loved it, and the family settled in easily. We enjoyed the breakfast book, but cooking with the mountain view was even better. We had lunch, supper and breakfast in three different spots on the property. The place is beautiful, easy to find and very homely, with a lovely view. The braai was simple to use, and close enough to the kitchen to run back and forth easily. A truly amazing place.
