Karen was incredible whenever we needed help or support. She was friendly and lovely to talk to, almost like a mom. Our balcony had breathtaking views, and the rooms were beautiful, very clean and maintained every day. We had an absolutely wonderful week here in February 2026. I can’t say enough about the property and team. If we come back to South Africa, we’d absolutely return to this guesthouse. Highly recommend it. 12/10.

Breakfast was a real highlight, and the nearby restaurants gave us plenty of dinner options, though dinner was available at the guesthouse too. We found the atmosphere peaceful, with secure parking and a small pool for cooling off. Our room was tidy and the bed comfortable. Oude Schuur Guesthouse is in a quiet part of Hermanus, yet only a short drive from the village. We had a lovely stay and would happily return.

The rooms were roomy and thoughtfully equipped, and the breakfast lounge had lovely attention to detail. The owners took a real interest in their guests and suggested places to eat and visit. They welcomed us warmly, and even made special drinks for my partner, whose birthday we were celebrating. We loved our stay.

Carl and Lisa made the stay especially memorable. Their warmth and knowledge of Hermanus added a lot to our trip, and they treated us like valued guests. The peaceful feel of Oude Schuur Boutique Guesthouse was apparent as soon as I arrived. Whenever I needed something, they responded with a smile and a can-do attitude, often anticipating what I might need.

I was there for one night on a work trip in October 2025, and the accommodation was great. The English-style breakfast came with freshly baked bread, and the coffee was so good that I wish I knew its name so I could buy some. Thanks, Oude Schuur Guesthouse, for a great stay.
