Lagoon Breeze Guest House

The pool area and views were lovely, and the staff, including Mel, were really friendly and made us feel welcome. We booked two rooms. The double room with a lagoon view was very nice, but the ground-floor standard double was a joke, the worst room of our trip. It was tiny, smelled bad, and looked out onto the parking area. Somehow the fridge made noise all night. Get rid of that downstairs double room and your ratings would be better.

The poolside and breakfast were very nice, but the downstairs rooms were awful. The room was old and stuffy, with mold on the bathroom curtain and bed frame, plus a few ants and a bug. The old fridge was very loud, and you could hear the main street. The upstairs rooms were good. Overall, don't book the cheapest rooms!

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. Lagoon Breeze has lovely views across Knysna Lagoon, the green hills and the nature reserve. It's close to Knysna Waterfront's restaurants, fashion, antiques and gift shops, and not far from the famous Knysna Heads. A great base for visiting Knysna and the wider Garden Route. We're grateful for the service and will definitely return. Warm regards, Jean.

We spent a lot of money to stay there for almost 10 days with my team, and it was a terrible experience. The breakfast menu never changed, so we ended up skipping breakfast even though we'd paid for it. Twice we had to come back and make our own beds. The rooms stayed damp, and we couldn't leave leftover food overnight because there were so many insects.
