We paid for breakfast in full ahead of time and never got it. It’s been three weeks and I’m still waiting for the refund, despite the owner promising every day. The room had two cups but no glasses, and we were left with half a roll of toilet paper for a three-day stay. Never again.

The photos are inviting, but our linen was dirty. We asked for clean replacements and got linen that was only slightly less questionable. Other reviewers had mentioned dirty linen, but I gave the place the benefit of the doubt when I booked. Don’t make my mistake. We booked two nights and left after one.

The photos are great, but the place was a mess. Doors wouldn’t latch or lock, the toilet seat nearly fell off, the toilet roll holder and shower door were broken, and the kitchen was dirty. There wasn’t enough cutlery or crockery, the curtains were torn and hanging off their hooks, and even the TV remote was filthy. Nearly everything that moves is broken. This place needs serious attention. Save yourself the trouble and skip it.

Our technician was travelling from Jhb to Bloem when the vehicle broke down. In the middle of sorting out the car and arranging somewhere to stay that night, he forgot to call and cancel the booking. The next morning we got in touch, apologized, and asked whether we could get some kind of refund since they hadn’t prepared the rooms or served breakfast. The woman replied rudely that it doesn’t work like that. Our company won’t use them again, and I’d advise others to think twice before staying there.
