The owners were so welcoming, and restaurants are just around the corner. Inside, the bathroom was roomy and nicely done, with a home-from-home feel. The rooms were beautiful, clean and inviting. It was bitterly cold while we were there, but the aircon, extra heater and hot water bottles kept us comfortable, and they even offered a little Old Brown Sherry to warm us up. We had a wonderful stay in Bloemfontein and would highly recommend it.

A lovely part of Bloemfontein to stay in, with shops and restaurants about 700m away. The garden is beautiful and has everything you need. We had a great experience, and the hosts were awesome.

We used this stylish, larger self-catering unit as a base for exploring Bloemfontein, though it would work just as well for an overnight stop. It’s easy to reach the N1 in either direction, and the suburb is a good one, with useful shops and several restaurants close by. Liesl & Reinier live next door and were wonderful hosts, full of helpful information and very attentive to the details. My wife and I spent three nights here in March 23. We can highly recommend this cultured home, and we’ll definitely be back.

We had a lovely time outside on the veranda, reading and playing with our little girl, and the garden is small, cute and perfectly kept. The executive suite has a natural, earthy look with a quiet elegance. It was comfortable too, with a leather couch and ottoman by the fireplace, a big bed and fresh white linen. The modern shower is huge, easily big enough for three, not that we needed to use it all at once. There’s a kitchenette with a two-burner gas stove, sink, cupboards, dishes and cutlery, bar fridge and kettle. The room also has aircon and a fireplace. The warm hosts were a great start to the stay. The full DSTV bouquet was perfect for my 3 year old, who could switch between channels 307 and 309. Most places don’t offer much on TV for kids that young. The only thing I missed was a bath, but it wasn’t a big deal.
