Asante Sana Guesthouse

The location was perfect, and the staff and management made us feel very welcome with how friendly they were. It was a peaceful place for a good holiday. Definitely coming back next holidays.

Mel gave us a warm welcome, and our rooms were well arranged with single beds for us ladies. We'd visit again ❤️

The rooms are okay, and there's a fridge for your own food. Wi-Fi is free, and the TV is in the room for watching whatever you like. Bring your own milk if you want coffee, and your own shampoo for bathing. There's a sitting area, and it's peaceful without much in the way of neighbors. The poolside was a bit dirty. Don't smoke in the room or you'll pay R600. The cups in the kitchen may look dirty, but apparently that's the design, though some are broken and still usable. I also saw a glass in the toilet and don't know what it's for 😄. The receptionist seemed drunk, though she was in her senses, so don't worry 😂. She takes time to open the gate, but call them and they'll open it.

The shower was blocked, so I had to stand in dirty water while bathing, and room number 2 had no fan. Because of the heat I slept with the windows open. They later told me they couldn't clean my room because the cleaning lady had broken the key. When I got back, they moved me to a double bed room even though I'd originally paid for a queen size. There was no fresh milk for tea, the rooms had an odd smell, and the TV was old. The receptionist reeked of alcohol and had no customer service. She also wanted another R100 for late check-in despite my having paid upfront 🤨. It was the worst place I've ever slept. Don't go unless you're hopelessly desperate, like I was.
