The staff were friendly, and I liked the spacious room and its balcony. There was a smell from the toilet, though. The drinks weren't that great, and some training in cooking would help. A well-trained bartender could make a difference.

We booked three rooms. They were a good size, and the hotel has underground parking behind a locked gate. Two bathrooms had a bad smell, perhaps from the shower outlet, and the shower door in Room 15 didn't close flush, so water got through. We found the beds hard and uncomfortable. For what it offers, we think the hotel is overpriced.

I was really disappointed by the Christmas buffet lunch at Loch Logan Hotel. The food ran out while guests were still being served, but we still had to pay the full price. I chose Loch Logan for Christmas lunch partly because the advertised menu included red meat, and I didn't get to try any because it was already gone. At the price charged, this didn't feel like the value or standard a Christmas buffet should offer.
