I always book Oakwood Lodge when I’m in Bloem. It’s good value, clean, and the service is amazing. There are a few lovely restaurants within walking distance, and breakfast is fantastic. My “comfort queen” room had a courtyard. It also came with a mini fridge, bath and shower, TV, mini hair drier, Aircon and wifi.

The receptionist gave me a warm welcome when I checked in on a cold evening, and my room was warm too. I had a hot shower and a comfortable, warm bed, with the Aircon keeping the room cosy. Everything was perfect for my stay. Keep up the good work. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in Bloem.

The lodge looks lovely, and it was clean and neat throughout. The staff were friendly as well. But the wifi was incredibly slow and unreliable, the TV never connected, and the aircon didn’t work either. The nice appearance can’t make up for those missing amenities.

We got amazing value for the price. Everything was very clean, neat and homely, and the receptionist was excellent. She made us feel welcome when we arrived after 9pm and was helpful too. A mini fridge with some water would have been a nice extra. Thanks, Oakwood lodge!

I stayed five nights, and the one real problem was breakfast. I chose it on Sunday when I arrived, then got that exact same breakfast every morning until I left on Friday. On two of the five days, the yogurt was past its “Beat Before” date.
