The apartment feels private and safe, and everything was impressively clean. With the windows open, the airflow kept it cool in the local heat. Parking is just a few metres from the door, which made carrying our luggage and parcels easy. The hosts added so many thoughtful extras: coffee roasted at their roastery, rusks, chocolates, water, juice, fresh milk, and an honesty fridge stocked with beers and ciders. The decor is tasteful down to the lovely selection of coffee cups. It was such a memorable find. I can’t wait to return, and I’d say book @ The Old Roastery next time you’re in Bloemfontein!

Such a lovely overnight stay, thank you, Inge. The little cottage is tidy, clean, and perfectly set up for self catering, with everything you need. I slept comfortably and felt safe. Wishing you many blessings for the future.

The Old Roastery Cottage is in a quiet neighbourhood, handy for shops and restaurants, and easy to access securely. The cottage has everything you need, even during load shedding, plus good internet and Netflix. Inge and Adriaan were wonderful hosts. They’d left tea, snacks, and some of their own delicious coffee for our first morning, which was a lovely touch. The name makes sense once you learn this is where they started their coffee business 😊

The fresh coffee they left was lovely. It was comfortable and had everything we needed for a stop over.
