Security around Stanville is a concern, and I’d only give it one star. It doesn’t look like the 3 Stars Hotel you’d want if style matters. The place looks run down, though it does have CRT TV, hot and cold bath, rooms accessed with keys rather than key cards, and a lift to all floors (see Pic). There’s no free breakfast in the morning, and WiFi is only available in the lobby.

A handy spot on the main road, Zastron Street, even if you don’t have your own car. There’s no hassle getting a taxi to downtown or elsewhere in Bloemfontein, and the garage is right opposite.

The hotel may be old, but it’s clean and the staff are friendly. Rates are good, and the restaurant food is good too.

Never again. The bathrooms are dated, and the supposedly white linen was, well, eeuw. Even by three-star standards, the place was awful.
