Guests were still checking in at 23:45, and the noise went on past midnight. The amenities are sparse and basic. I've paid the same rates in Sandton and Pretoria for service and amenities ten times better. The room looked cheap, with half a roll of toilet paper and cheap coffee. I wouldn't recommend it unless the rate drops to R300 a night.

I'm staying at this guest house now, and the service and responses from Octavia and the team are terrible. The shower is dirty and mouldy, breakfast isn't good, and the facilities aren't up to scratch. The service is lacking.

The room was a mess when we finally got a key. We arrived at 14h30, after check-in opened at 14h00, but there was nobody at reception at first. Someone eventually came and said the room wasn't ready because they hadn't expected us. We went to a wedding, and when we got back that night the room had been cleaned. We had to shower in cold water, and the bed throw was dirty. It's expensive, the service is poor, and I wouldn't recommend the place.

The room was dirty, as though nobody had cleaned after the previous guests. There were empty shampoo bottles and no tea or coffee, and the shower mat looked as if it had never been washed. The shower was dirty too, and the water was hot for a second before turning cold. There was no soap at the basin, and we struggled to open and close the tap. The TV didn't work, and its blue light was disturbing when trying to sleep. We had one large towel for two people and a small hand towel, plus too little toilet paper. The so-called king bed was two three-quarter beds pushed together. The staff were friendly on arrival, though the reception chairs were old and dirty. The room also had no air-conditioning, despite our specific request for one when booking through booking.com. Overall, a bad experience.
