Dineos Lodge and Spa

The neighborhood felt safe, and the rooms were clean. Staff were welcoming and polite, and I thought the food was good.

At R900 a night, finding a filthy room and a broken bed was a disgrace. I spent the whole night on a small white chair, and the windows were filthy too. There was no security, and when I went to reception and rang the bell, nobody came. They should stop ripping people off and close the place. Book here at your own risk.

I told them on the check-in form that I needed brown bread and no pork at breakfast. On day two I raised it with the chef and receptionist after white bread and pork were served. The next day they changed the bread to brown, but still served pork. There were other issues too, but this one stood out because it affects my health. The air conditioner only blew cold air. The staff were accommodating.

The building looks good, and Shoki at reception was welcoming and friendly. But the toilet is open plan in the room, which makes it uncomfortable to have food or snacks there, especially after using it. The whole room ends up smelling like air freshener, and I have to sleep in it. Closing off that toilet in the corner would at least give some privacy.
