Somerset Sights Bed and Breakfast

I spent six weeks at this first-rate BnB while working in South Africa. Peter and Mai welcomed me into their home straight away. The bright rooms were spotless, and the bay views alone make the stay worthwhile. I also appreciated the service, their local knowledge, and the breakfast, all of which deserve five stars. If I’m lucky enough to return to Somerset West, I’ll definitely stay here again.

Peter & Mai made our visit to Somerset Sights B&B feel easy and welcoming. They’ve created a lovely, relaxed place where it’s easy to feel at home, and Peter shared plenty of useful advice about exploring Somerset and the wineries. We had a wonderful breakfast on the terrace, looking out over False Bay, and really enjoyed our four weeks in the Somerset Sights apartment in October 2016. Peter and Mai were thoughtful hosts throughout. The apartment had high-quality finishes and plenty of cutlery and glassware, which made it very convenient. We spent our second week in South Africa at Somerset Sights B&B, and it exceeded what we’d hoped for. Our room was light and fresh, with a wonderful view on two sides, over the pool, mountains and ocean in one direction and the garden in the other. It had everything you’d expect in a 5* hotel, including laundry service, a mini bar, and the comfiest dressing gowns I’ve ever worn. Peter and Mai made us delicious breakfast each day, and our room had been cleaned and replenished by the time we returned. They know the local area well and helped with recommendations and bookings. They’re warm, kind hosts who make everyone feel welcome. If we return to Somerset west, we’ll definitely stay here again.
