Trennerys Hotel

The food was fantastic, we ate like kings, and the staff were friendly, helpful, kind and very attentive. The pool was beautiful and the beach amazing too. I spent a week at Trennerys for a workshop with 22 colleagues. It’s a beautiful place with a rustic feel. The hotel is upgrading its rooms. Mine was an older one, but everything was wonderfully clean.

If you want seclusion and quiet, the location is great, but it’s far from everything. There’s not much to do at the hotel beyond going to the beach and eating. The Wi-Fi was horrible, only available in common areas like the dining room and bar, and barely worked. Camping might be okay, but I really wouldn’t recommend staying in a room. The carpeted rooms felt damp and humid, smelled moldy, and were outdated with no ventilation. We had to ask to change rooms because the one we got wasn’t the one advertised.

The service from all the staff and the meals were excellent. Cottage 21 was clean and tidy, and when we asked for an extra chair for the two of us, one arrived within minutes. It was missing a deck with a table and two chairs, though the other cottages had one. It would’ve been lovely to have coffee outside in the morning or sit out in the cool evening. Our door faced everyone, so we usually kept it closed. Still, it was a quiet, enjoyable and relaxed stay. Regards, Marge Stevens, and Brian Minnie.

The scenery along the EC coast is out of this world, and the beaches nearby are clean and peaceful. I really liked that the neighbourhood felt safe and wasn’t crowded. I’ll definitely go again!
