I came with my daughter while she was recovering from surgery, and Tony & Marieka were incredibly accommodating. The room worked perfectly for us and was serviced every day. We also used the laundry service, and breakfast is available. The garden was a lovely place to relax, with the resident kitty making herself at home alongside us. There’s a shopping centre less than 1 km away, and we felt safe walking around the neighbourhood. I’d definitely recommend this lodge for a trip down that way.

Such a beautiful place, with really welcoming, friendly owners. The food was something else too. I’d never had mash and sticky short rib like that before. When I got to my room, they’d left homemade rusks and crunchy's, a snack and a beer for me. Great hosting and food if you need somewhere to sleep. I can highly recommend it. PS 😁

It has the feel of a great B & B with the quality of a hotel. The hosts are welcoming, accommodating and know the area well. Pinelands is quiet, and the peaceful, spacious garden, secure parking and good breakfast choices all add to the stay. It’s also well placed for reaching major tourist spots in every direction.

The owners made me feel at home during my two weeks in Cape Town, and Applegarth B&B and self catering gave me a peaceful haven. Everything around the place was immaculate, and they’d paid attention to the little details. The breakfasts and suppers were amazing, full of flavour and made with care. My time in Cape Town was extraordinary, and Applegarth was a big part of that. Heartfelt thanks 🙏
