Altona Guest House

Coffee and tea were available whenever we wanted, and we could use the kitchen without any hassle. We also arrived before check-in, but our room was ready. The whole property was spotless, the staff were always kind and helpful, and breakfast was lovely. Thanks for making our stay so pleasant. We’d happily stay at Altona again when we’re back in Cape Town.

We spent five days here in February 2026 and had a great time. The rooms were bright, clean, and in a really good location. Staff were helpful from before we arrived right through to the moment we left. Thanks to everyone there for making the stay so enjoyable. Definitely recommend it.

Tom the house cat came to say goodbye before we left, which was my favorite part. Catherine, the host, was lovely and really helpful too. The B&B was far cleaner than I expected for the price, and we enjoyed our stay a lot. We parked our rental car on the street and had no trouble during the visit. I’d booked two weeks before my original dates, then needed to move the booking later and couldn’t cancel. I messaged them, and they changed it for free.
