The place is still being worked on, so keep that in mind when booking. New management has taken over and plans renovations, expected to be finished around March or April. The confusion happened because the former owners hadn't removed the venue from the booking list. Grace was able to accommodate our reservation, and the hospitality was great and welcoming. We look forward to visiting once the renovations are done.

Avoid AMORIS. Amoris guest house accepted my booking through booking .com, and reception confirmed it when I called to check that everything was set. Two hours later, they called to say it was cancelled because of a double booking, leaving me to find another plan. The service was useless, and the staff member didn't offer alternative accommodation until I insisted. Not recommended.

What a mess at Amoris guest house Sea point Capetown. The place wasn't like the listing: there were huge cockroaches, a terrible smell, and a chaotic kitchen. The cutlery was old and looked awful. I could go on. Please spare yourself the heartache and stay away. Just book a hotel instead.

The old building has some charm, set along a narrow street that looks like it was made for horse and cart. It's in the Sea Point/Bantry Bay area, incredibly close to Saunder's rock. The staff were generally helpful and friendly, but the building doesn't keep sound out well, even from room to room. I had some pretty poor nights of sleep because of that.

We were put in a room with no view, even though it wasn't the one we had booked. They said they'd move us, but that never happened, and there weren't any utensils in the room either. The staff don't understand customer service. I wouldn't recommend this place.
