The views over False Bay and the garden and sparkling pool made this a lovely place to unwind and recharge. We felt lucky to find this spot high in the hills of Gordons Bay. On a rainy Monday morning, wrapped in the imported Swiss duvet and Percale linen, I watched mist roll down the mountain outside. Alex and Melanie were warm, welcoming hosts. From the security gate and the driveway lined with white rosebushes, the place felt refined and luxurious. Our self-catering suite was thoughtfully put together and had everything we needed, plus a little more. Add it to your bucket list!

Peaceful, tranquil, and with breathtaking views, Apricot Gardens Boutique felt like a perfect stay. We loved the luxury. The ocean views are beautiful, though the place is quite a way from the water. The beach is about a five-minute drive away.

For a weekend of being properly looked after, this spot is a great choice. Alex cooked for us, and both breakfast and dinner looked and tasted like Masterchef food. The rooms are comfortable and welcoming, and the views are lovely. It’s only 45 minutes from Cape Town, yet once you’re there, all you hear is birdsong, no traffic. Thanks, Melani and Alex, for another wonderful stay.

Apricot Gardens Boutique Guesthouse is a lovely place to stay if you want some quiet at night, whether you’re taking a break from the daily rush or exploring around Cape Town. The house looks out over the sea, with Cape Town in the distance, and the setting is just amazing. Melani and Alex were warm when we arrived and looked after us right through to our departure. They helped with all our questions, and the freshly made breakfast was wonderful. I’d recommend it to anyone asking me where to stay, and I’d come back myself if I’m in the area again.

We made a last-minute booking after a wedding and were able to check in late. Everyone was really friendly, and the view was great. We were so happy with the stay and will definitely return.
