Atlantic Beach Hotel

The hotel was quiet, clean and neat, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location also made it easy to walk everywhere. But breakfast was a letdown. The choices were an omelet or an English breakfast with toast, two slices of bacon, two eggs and two sausages, for R 200. That felt like a rip-off. Our first night was awful because the pillows were horrible and the bed was even worse. I woke with a terrible headache. They moved us to a lovely room with a proper bed and pillows.

Everything else was good, but the air conditioning failed in six rooms that evening. The elevator also stopped in a blink.

I took a rock painting course on Sunday afternoon. The area we were in and the bathroom were both very neat, and the staff on duty were friendly and helpful.

The location is gorgeous, with a private beach just a few metres away and lovely scenery from the hotel. The staff are nice, although sometimes they can be slow to respond to requests. We stayed a week, and the food was terrible. It had no flavour, and they served the same menu throughout our stay. All of us staying there for the week could barely eat. The chef could do much better by catering to different guests and adding some flavour.
