Watching the sun go down over Camps Bay and Lions Head with a glass of wine between 5-7pm became a daily highlight. The views are hard to beat, and the evening canapés were a lovely surprise. Breakfast had fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices and plenty of hot choices. The rooms were stunning, but the staff made the stay feel perfect by going above and beyond. Atlanticview is the sort of place we wish we could stay forever. We’re already dreaming about coming back.

The Royal Suite was one of the most spectacular rooms we’ve stayed in, with plenty of space, beautiful design and a private balcony over the ocean. Having morning tea and breakfast there while listening to the waves was a highlight. The property itself is breathtaking, perched above the coastline with panoramic views at sunrise and sunset. The staff made us feel like valued friends. Sven and Rebecca were especially kind and attentive, checking in, arranging transport and sharing thoughtful tips, including hidden local spots. There is one booking detail future guests should know: the hotel has a strict non-refundable policy. Our flight was canceled in a winter storm, and the hotel told us it couldn’t make an exception. We did manage to get there, just barely, and that didn’t take away from the property or the excellent service we experienced. Still, it may be worth considering travel insurance when booking.

We spent some of our favourite evenings chatting with the staff over wine. By the end of the week, they felt like real friends. Their warmth is what makes Atlantic View special: they took time to get to know us, suggested restaurants and tours, helped plan days out and checked that everything was right. Their kindness felt natural, never forced. Greg, the owner, made booking simple and stress-free, and even arranged our transfer, which we really appreciated after the long journey. Our room was beautiful and full of thoughtful details, from the champagne and chocolates on arrival to fresh flowers in the bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delivered to our room each morning, with breads, croissants, fruit, yoghurt and coffee, plus eggs if you wanted them. In the evening, complimentary wine and canapés from 7 to 9 made it easy to unwind. Atlantic View was also a great base for our first trip to Cape Town. It was easy to get to Camps Bay, the beach, the city and day trips, and coming back at the end of the day was a pleasure. The rooms were classy, unique and luxuriously decorated. This place made our visit unforgettable, and we’re already planning a return. We can’t imagine staying elsewhere.

My friends and I had such a great stay. The views were stunning, the rooms luxurious, the amenities fantastic, and the staff incredibly attentive. It’s a wonderful way to see Cape Town. We really enjoyed the private tour to Stellenbosch for wine tastings and lunch. The trips to the Penguins and Cape of Good Hope were awesome too. Some of my group went shark cage diving and found it unforgettable. Book directly for the best rates.

Christmas 2025 with our family at Atlanticview was one of our best hotel stays ever. We’ve travelled for decades and stayed at many 5-star resorts. In Camps Bay, the hotel feels private and exclusive while still being easy to reach from other parts of the city. From the property, we could see Table Mountain behind us, the Atlantic Ocean ahead and Lion’s Head to the right. Greg & team were excellent before we arrived, helping with concierge arrangements for Cape Town and our onward travels. When last-minute changes came up during peak season, they even scrambled to find our family a Table Mountain booking. Check-in was warm and personal, and the team gave us a tour before showing us Suite 7, “The Royal Suite”. It had floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors onto a private deck, with breathtaking views of the ocean and Lion’s Head. There was a welcome note from Greg & team and chilled sparkling wine with rose petals. The suite was spacious and richly decorated, with quality furnishings, fixtures and art. The huge bathroom had stone finishes, heated floors and local luxury toiletries. Breakfast in the room was a feast to look at and eat: custom coffee drinks, artisan bread and pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt and charcuterie arranged like Parisian bakery petit fours, with a red rose on the platter. It looked so lovely we hesitated to touch it, then enjoyed every bit. We loved the restaurant’s complimentary canapés at happy hour with a glass of Chenin Blanc from Stellenbosch, timed perfectly for the sunset. The bar staff, like everyone else, were warm and genuine. The whole stay felt like being with friends and family in a luxury home, and it was unforgettable.
