This clean, well-kept block of flats has good security and residents from diverse cultures. There are two pools, a braai and entertainment area, and one- and two-bedroom flats. Howard center and its major shops are nearby, and Mutual station is just a short walk away. No noise is allowed after hours. Some flats do have wear-and-tear issues, but the owner or body corporate gets them fixed once they’re informed.

I like how central it is, and the complex is generally peaceful. But there are crying babies all around, and sometimes it gets to be a lot. I enjoy being at home, though the agency should have been upfront about how many young families live here. Those little footsteps overhead aren’t so sweet when they’re coming through the ceiling at ungodly hours. The water also takes ages to heat up, which leads to a lot of waste. I reported the problem, but it wasn’t addressed.

There’s 24-hour security, fibre access up to 100 mbps, a gym and DSTV equipment installed. It’s very central in Cape Town and close to amenities. The two large pools and braai areas make this a good place for a young family, and it’s quiet.
