You charge R5 to use the toilets, with no obvious notice, but none of the taps were working. It took me a while to find someone to lead me to a broken inner door, where I finally found a tap to wash the soap off. Shocking for a so-called upmarket centre.

The place was very clean, the people were friendly, and we felt safe.

The toilet kept giving off awful smells, like the plumbing was poor and everyone’s toilets were connected. The sliding door wouldn’t lock. It turned out many other apartments had the same problem, which felt like a safety hazard in that area. There was supposed to be an extractor fan, but they never installed one. Having a Spar right there was handy, but the staff were always miserable and couldn’t manage a smile. People also beg you when you’re going to the Spar. The underground parking boom system seems like a good idea, but barely worked, slowing you down when you’re in a rush or have an emergency. Miserable people, miserable environment.

There’s no parking. The building itself is beautiful, right in the middle of bustling Woodstock, with lots of people and traffic. It’s a lively place to shop, eat and live.

It’s been a pleasure staying here. The building is well managed and maintained, and it feels safe and convenient, with shops and restaurants downstairs. Dealing with Swish has been great too. They’ve been very helpful and accommodating.
