Cape Diem Lodge

Cape Diem Lodge is very conveniently located near the V&A Waterfront, and the whole team helped make our stay exceptional. Bianca gave us great restaurant suggestions, leading us to some of the best dinners of our three-week trip in South Africa. Breakfast was excellent, with chill jazz in the background. Bob’s enthusiasm always put a smile on our faces, and he was thoughtful too, bringing blankets when we sat by the pool in the evening. Highly recommended.

Breakfast on the terrace, with the peaceful gardens around us, was a lovely way to start each day. The beautifully designed rooms and stunning views made our recent Cape Town visit at the 5-Star Cape Diem Lodge unforgettable. Carli, Bob, Daniel, Bianca and the whole Cape Diem team made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality was warm, attentive, and above and beyond. Thank you for such a welcoming, memorable stay. Can’t wait to return!

Breakfast was a real treat, with plenty of fresh choices and thoughtful preparation. Cape Diem Lodge also has a lovely central spot that feels quiet and safe, and we could get to the main sights quickly by Uber or walk to the pier. The small number of rooms gives the place a snug, relaxing feel. Ours was spotless, stylishly decorated, and comfortable, with that boutique hotel touch. The staff made the stay especially memorable. Bob and Samuel were so warm and caring, and everyone was friendly and ready to help. The modern design made us feel welcome right away, and we enjoyed every minute. We’d happily recommend Cape Diem Lodge and hope to return to Cape Town.

The small size gives Cape Diem Lodge a cozy feel, and the modern style sits nicely with the character of the building. There was safe parking both along the street opposite the entrance and in the garage, so leaving my rental car was easy. Everyone I met, from the breakfast and office staff to housekeeping and the gardener, was kind and eager to help. Room 3 was clean and good value, with a very comfortable bed, a roomy shower, and lots of places to sit. Breakfast had a generous selection for a small hotel, and there were snacks and drinks in the afternoon too. It felt like home from the start. The hotel-arranged transfer driver was incredibly kind and waiting for me at the airport, even though I arrived late. The night porter welcomed me warmly as well, and that friendly feeling continued throughout my stay. I’d definitely recommend Cape Diem Lodge.
