After an 18-month gap, I came back for my second meal here, and it was the worst I’ve had in Cape Town. The calamari was greasy and completely lacking in flavour, and the portions seemed smaller than before. The waiters were fun, though they looked bored since we were the only customers. I can see why, with the new restaurant across the road packed. I won’t return. Avoid this place.

We slept incredibly well on the wonderfully comfortable bed. The room was spacious, clean, and lovely to stay in, and the staff were great. The food was yummy too. I’d thoroughly recommend this place.

We spent five nights here and would happily come back. The area felt safe, and the central location made it easy to walk almost everywhere. The hop-on hop-off bus stop is only a couple of blocks away, with plenty of restaurants nearby. We also really enjoyed the hotel bistro, which serves very good food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The hotel staff were outstanding in every way, and we especially liked the people working there.
