CB-ONE Luxury Stay

The photos don’t really capture the views. My room was just right, with the bed positioned so I woke up looking out at the water. It’s a quiet part of town that feels very safe, and there are some nice restaurants down the hill.

The view from above Camps Bay made the sunsets feel unbeatable, and the hotel had the feel of a modern Hollywood-style villa in a very posh neighbourhood. With only 4-5 rooms, we often had the pool to ourselves, which made the stay even better. We booked the Deluxe Double room (the Sun Lovers room), a 100-square-meter space with a walk-in wardrobe, a huge comfortable king-size bed, a bathtub, a shower that could fit up to 8 people, and a large balcony looking over the pool, Lion’s Head, and the ocean. The kitchenette had everything needed for cooking, though we never used it because of the great food scene nearby. The gym was well equipped for a quick workout before or after a day out, and the first load of washing was free. It’s a self-catering hotel with reception and housekeeping. Check-in was smooth, and the room or flat was cleaned daily. Everything was modern, clean, and very well kept. Elri at reception was kind and helpful throughout, offering restaurant and activity advice, lending us the hotel’s beach umbrella, and making sure we had what we needed. It’s the most beautiful hotel we’ve ever stayed in. I’d give it 110/100 if I could, and can’t wait to return to this little piece of heaven.

General Manager Elri was proactive and helpful, with lots of great suggestions for activities and restaurants. We felt at home from the first minute in our crazy luxurious room, with a superb view over Camps Bay. It was a perfect, carefree stay in one of Cape Town’s best areas.

I’m staying at another hotel now, but CB-ONE has my heart. I’ve never been anywhere like this stunning property, in an out-of-this-world location. The luxurious finishes stood out, especially the Carol Boyes tableware in the hotel. The kitchen and bathroom are to die for. We stayed in Meerlust and woke each morning to views of the ocean and Lions head. It was my partner’s first time in SA, and he was blown away. Elri the manager is lovely inside and out, and had taken care of my needs even before I arrived. My best advice is to book it.
