Chartfield Guesthouse

Staying here in January for a week was such a happy, memorable experience. I’ve been lucky to try hotels, guesthouses, and B&Bs around the world, and this gorgeous guesthouse is without doubt the best accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. From arrival it feels like someone’s beautiful home, welcoming and personal without being intrusive. After a few days, it really does feel like your own home. The calm and comfort helped me unwind right away from hectic everyday life in England. It envelops you, and you can actually relax as soon as you arrive. My room was idyllic, spacious, and beautifully designed, with an en suite and a stunning view over Kalk Bay. Waking up to that view every morning was a dream. The owner and his team made me feel truly cared for, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was outstanding, fresh, nourishing, and plentiful. It just kept coming! The wonderful staff were warm, friendly, and helpful, and their healthy, uplifting vibe spread through the whole guesthouse. The location is perfect, just a stone’s throw from the beach. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, and I’m already desperate to return one day.
