Clifton 1st Beach Elite

Watching the beach and enjoying it was great, though there wasn’t anything for children to do. The service wasn’t great. They shouted at us about paying an extra R5000, apparently because they thought we were bad people and assumed we were like the other guests who partied. I’d give the experience 3 stars.

We stayed at a place called Clifton Attina at Valhalla, and it felt like a little piece of heaven. The views were amazing, and it was quiet and very safe. We walked to Camps Bay for breakfast each morning and dinner in the evenings. It’s beautiful, though there aren’t places to eat at Clifton. I’d love to spend more time there.

The apartment was in really bad shape. The window locks were broken, and the bathroom and beds were in poor condition. I stayed in F2, and when I raised the noise from the coworkers, which ran from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, the host started threatening to kick me and my family out. He pushed me to leave a good Airbnb review or I wouldn’t be satisfied. I began worrying about our safety. He kept calling to check on his apartment and wanted me to post a review as soon as possible. Then, while we were out, his assistant forced their way in, messed with our belongings, and threw them beside the door like rubbish. The host also sent his lawyer, who threatened me too. It’s all recorded, by the way 💋. According to the lawyer, we weren’t the first visitors to be kicked out and wouldn’t be the last. The lawyer also said the laws in their region protect them, and that was recorded as well. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had.

The apartments are grand, with direct beach access and spectacular views. It was a great visit, and I’d happily go back.
