It’s in a practical location and the hotel is very quiet. The bathroom being so close to the bed didn’t work for me. I paid for four days of breakfast but only ate it twice because the choices were limited and the items kept repeating. That should be mentioned before people book and pay. The breakfast staff were extremely unfriendly.

When we ran into problems with the hotel we’d booked, Coloseum came to our rescue. They put us in their best suite for our 40th wedding anniversary, and the staff went the extra mile. I can’t wait to visit Coloseum again.

A lovely view of Table Mountain and the ocean. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and helpful throughout, from the entrance security and bag assistance to check-in, showing us to the room, and check-out.

The staff and service were excellent, and the suite felt luxurious and was well equipped. There’s a separate lounge and kitchenette, plus a balcony with a decent sunset view. It was a little quieter than the city bustle, so the evenings felt peaceful. The bathroom layout wasn’t ideal for me, right beside the bed, with the toilet behind a glazed door.

The first night was okay, but on Saturday renovation work meant drilling all day until late afternoon. They should’ve told me beforehand and let me make other arrangements. Our stay was meant to be relaxing, but it wasn’t, and I wasn’t impressed. I won’t be back.
