The rooms are spacious and spotless, and the bathroom is so peaceful, a lovely place to unwind. Charmaine was a wonderful hostess, and the breakfast and setup were top class. We had an amazing stay at this guest house.

My room was spotless and the bed really comfortable. Everyone was so warm and friendly, and the staff even went out of their way to book a dentist appointment for me. I’d happily stay here again. Thanks to all of you.

The views of table mountain are breathtaking, and the bedrooms had crisp, clean linen. From the moment I arrived, the manageresses and staff gave me a warm welcome and helped carry my luggage up to my room. Impeccable service, highly recommended.

Breakfast was well done, with a hot meal chosen from a tick-list menu, plus continental options, fresh tea and coffee, and juice. There’s also a nice patio, pool and braai area. Staff aren’t there around the clock, but a cellphone number is available until late. Payment can be made by EFT, which must clear before you get the room key, or by card at reception. The place is good to stay in, though it’s not suitable for wheelchair users. There are two floors with stairs. A ground-floor room is available, but even reaching the front door could be difficult. WiFi works at okay speeds. For cold nights there’s a heater and an electric blanket. The beds are comfy and the sheets are good quality, though the pillows are a bit soft. Bathrooms were nice and had the usual small bottles of shampoo and shower gel, a little soap bar and insect repellent, which I didn’t need. The TV was horrible, with only SABC and ETV expected and poor signal. The hardwood floors are somewhat noisy, but not too bad.

The photos gave me a better impression than the actual place. My wooden toilet seat was broken, and I nearly got an electric shock when I turned on the TV. There was no water in the rooms, and the bathrooms looked dated, with dirty tile grout. Maybe someone who likes an old-fashioned feel would enjoy it, but there’s no air conditioning or WiFi. I can see they’re trying, though maybe this isn’t the right business for them.
