We had a restful stay at Dolphin Beach Hotel in Cape Town, with clean, well-kept rooms and very good service. The beach is right there, so getting down to the shore was easy, and waking up to the ocean and Table Mountain was a real treat. You can enjoy that mountain view from several parts of the property too. The staff were friendly, and the accommodation was comfortable. I'd recommend it for a peaceful Cape Town visit with lovely scenery.

God put the mountain and ocean right there, and what a place it is! We came as 30 women hoping for healing in our mental, spiritual, and natural lives. The staff were incredible, from management through to housekeeping.

For R175, I got stringy bacon and dry scrambled eggs, and there was hardly anything else to choose from. I expected the buffet breakfast to match how beautiful the place is, but it was a complete disappointment for me.

South Africa is a truly beautiful country, and we'll definitely visit again. The Dolphin Beach Hotel, though, left us with a deeply frustrating and disappointing stay, and we won't book there again or recommend it. Money was stolen from our room. We could identify the time window and the room quite precisely, and told reception right away. The staff didn't take our complaint seriously: there was no thorough investigation, no update, and nobody accepted responsibility. That response is unacceptable for a hotel in this category, and it completely broke our trust. We could have let minor problems or organizational issues go, since those things happen. But theft from a guest room and management's lack of response are beyond that. We hope management takes this seriously and puts measures in place to protect guests and their belongings.

We've been back for cabana stays at Dolphin Beach Hotel for more than 15 years, and it still doesn't disappoint. The beach is right at hand, the staff are so friendly and helpful, and the views of Table Mountain are unbeatable.
