DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town - Upper Eastside

The hotel is a little far out, but there’s a shuttle to the waterfront every two hours. The rooms are clean and the staff are very decent. I liked the welcome coffee, and they always have delicious juice at reception. Breakfast was decent with a good variety, and the coffee was delicious 😌

The service and dining made this a memorable stay, and the hotel also felt like excellent value. Housekeeping was impeccable: the rooms were meticulously serviced, and the team anticipated what we needed with a gracious, helpful attitude. Breakfast was superb, the best I found in the Woodstock area, and the food and drinks were consistently excellent. I appreciated being in the lively Upper Eastside instead of the more visited V&A Waterfront. It offered a more local feel, with a mix of hotel guests and regulars that gave it its own character. Every team member I met contributed to the welcoming atmosphere. Minhlè handled my check-in warmly and professionally, and I’d also like to recognize Ben, Monique, Chantal, Elna, Fatima, Tamara, and Leonard for their attentive service. The frontline team, including Nicolene, Nisiviwe, Minhlè, and Sisiso, worked together seamlessly. The DoubleTree by Hilton Upper Eastside in Cape Town exceeded my expectations from arrival to departure. I’d gladly return and recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Cape Town stay with excellent service. My thanks to the whole team.

I joined a site inspection of the Double Tree by Hilton, including its conference room. The rooms we toured were clean, which matters a lot to me, and most have a Table Mountain view. The Penthouse was beautifully decorated and felt like a home away from home, with everything needed for a comfortable holiday or stay. We also sampled the famous Sunday Roast at the hotel’s Bistro 31. At R260 per person, it was well worth it: generous portions and delicious food. The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. The hotel is in Woodstock, but don’t let that put you off. It felt quite safe and has ample underground parking. I wholeheartedly recommend it for an event or a holiday stay. It’s set up to meet each person’s needs.

I really liked my two-storey room, and the staff were great. The food was what you’d expect from Hilton, too. I gave the room four stars because roof replacement work was happening while I was there, and the two-storey rooms are on the top floor. They did warn me 24 hours beforehand.
