My room was peaceful, with lovely views from the bed and no traffic noise. It was clean and warm too. When I asked for an early check-in, they’d already turned on the heater, which I thought was a really considerate touch. I had a poolside room and would gladly return. It’s a beautiful place, and I recommend it.

The best part for me was the bike tour Guy arranged. He knows the area well and had great suggestions, and the trip left me feeling refreshed. Joane and Guy also made us feel very welcome, and check-in was simple. Their breakfast was fresh and delicious, and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool in the garden with its lovely panorama and private atmosphere. The Guesthouse is a great base for Somerset West and the wider Cape. Our hosts shared personal recommendations we wouldn’t have found in a guide, including nearby vineyards, and helped us get a feel for local life. Extraordinary. :)

Guy and Joane helped make our Cape Town trip one we’ll always remember. We spent eight nights there over Christmas and had a perfect stay. The rooms were comfortable, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing, and a good time to plan the day with Guy and Joane’s tips on places to visit and things to do. We’d highly recommend staying here, and we’ll definitely come back.

We felt at home in this cosy guesthouse, which is well placed for visiting Cape Town, the nearby wine estates, and other surroundings. Joane, Guy and Chloe welcomed us warmly, and their affection and enthusiasm for South Africa rubbed off on us.
