The pillows were dirty, and when I asked for a clean one, my request was ignored. If you want a dirty place and dirty pillows, stay here. Never again!

The Wi-Fi is useless, and there’s nothing to watch on TV apart from eTV. The kitchen was filthy and the bin was overflowing. There was no cleaning service over the weekend, and we went without toilet paper from Friday until we checked out on Monday.

In Room 13, the shower control is awful. It gets hot enough to feel like you’re being boiled.

Eliam & Edgar pointed us to Fama Lodge, and we made the trip all the way from Johannesburg. My wife, son and I stayed three nights. The place is tidy and nice, and the hospitality was so much fun and over the top in the best way. We love you, and we’re definitely coming back.

The keys were handed to me when I arrived, but nobody explained which one opened which door or showed me around or how anything worked. I didn’t feel welcome. I was taken straight to my room, then had an emergency that same night and couldn’t get hold of anyone in charge to hand the keys back. I’ve stayed in plenty of guest houses, and this one fell short of what I expected.
