Holiday Inn Express Cape Town City-Centre by IHG

Breakfast was a nice part of the stay, with plenty of good food across local and continental options. The quality stayed good, and there was something to suit different tastes. The city-centre location made getting around simple, with public transport, shops, attractions, and restaurants nearby. It saved time and effort for both sightseeing and business. The property was well kept, and my room was clean, comfortable, and had what I needed. Everything went well from check-in through check-out. A comfortable and convenient choice, and I’d gladly stay here again when I’m back in the city.

The room’s on the small side, but it worked well for a weekend or stopover, and we had no trouble with hot water or water pressure. That’s something we’ve run into at pricier places. We stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Express after trying a lot of Airbnb options and more expensive Cape Town hotels, and it ticked all our boxes. Staff were great from arrival to departure, sorting out what we needed without any hassle. Parking is limited and costs R60 a day, which seemed reasonable for the middle of the city. The location is fantastic. We went for a walk in the Company Gardens, and headed to Long Street for dinner rather than eating at the hotel. Breakfast was great and had everything you could want. We live in Cape Town and will definitely be back. This is going to be our little staycation spot. Thanks, Holiday Inn Express Team.

As a woman travelling alone, I found the location convenient and felt safe. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, but there are so many good places nearby that it didn’t matter. The breakfast buffet was top notch, and the staff were great and ready to help with anything. Vendors nearby can be a little aggressive, though that’s not the hotel’s fault. I went out of town for a couple of days, and the hotel agreed to store my luggage. That saved me stress and money. The fitness room could use an update, since the equipment wasn’t great and people need to work out. If I return to Cape Town, I’d choose this hotel again.

Ask for a room on the 15th floor if you want a nice view. The rooms are quiet and affordable, right in the middle of the CBD, and the reception is amazing. Breakfast was great, too. I arrived a bit late, but the dining manager made sure I still got something to eat. The lift was the fastest I’ve ever been in. I’d definitely go back.
