The location wasn't great, and people played music very loudly. The bedding wasn't clean, and breakfast felt disorganized, perhaps because there was a large group. By the time we arrived, there was no yogurt, and there were no mushrooms even though the menu listed them. I also found a dirty cup on our table. Bianca was very unprofessional. I sent her a message about an incident and she ignored it. That says a lot to me.

The deck was a highlight, with breathtaking views over Hout Bay and the mountains, and the rooms were clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We stayed two nights as a family with three kids, ages 9, 11 and 14, and the staff made us feel welcome from the start. They put the children in a nearby room and were accommodating with all three. They also provided laundry service and helpful suggestions for our itinerary. We had a fantastic stay and I'd happily recommend this guest house to anyone looking for somewhere cozy with incredible views.

Poseidon Guest House has a calm, relaxing feel, and the thoughtful details around the property stood out to me. The rooms are beautifully designed, and the staff are warm and welcoming. It exceeded my expectations. I'd highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway or a business stay. 🤩🌴👍

Breakfast was a real strong point, with lots of choices, and the staff were amazing there. I had a lovely time at Hout Bay Breeze, and the sea view room was everything I'd hoped for. A few room details were disappointing: the lamps were crooked and the tables uneven. I work at a guest house, so I know these small things can be easy to miss, but they're noticeable. In such a nice room, it felt as if someone thought we wouldn't notice.

We had a very clean room, and the view across Hout Bay was superb. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. It's close to some excellent fish and chip restaurants, and there's a really nice night market nearby on Friday evenings. I'd definitely come back.
