The breakfast at the attached restaurant was really good, and the service was pleasant. My wife and I stayed here for one night while we were in Cape Town. Our room was clean and reasonably priced, and I plan to stay again in the future.

The staff were amazing: Oncemore, Pilgrim, Samantha, and Boniface. The rooms are nice, though the beds weren't as comfortable as I'd hoped. After three nights, my shoulder was sore.

We ended up cancelling our reservation after a bad experience before we'd even set foot in the hotel. We had booked two rooms for two nights and needed to change the dates because of unforeseen circumstances. I called around ten times without luck. George tried to help, but reservations weren't his area. The next day, I spoke to someone who was very rude and wouldn't give me his name. He said the owner would handle date changes. When I asked for the owner's email or phone number, he started swearing, told me to deal with it myself, raised his voice and said extremely rude things. I'm very disappointed in the Sugar hotel manager.

The room was called small, and even so it was a bit smaller than I expected. There were no walls between the bathroom and the room. The hotel is beautiful and has good service, on a trendy road with nice restaurants and shops, close to Green Point stadium. Breakfast was delicious, though the menu felt a little limited for a longer stay.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is convenient, with amenities nearby, including V&A and Greenpoint.
