The peaceful setting and Table Mountain views made our Cape Town honeymoon especially lovely. The property was a dream, with adorable, clean, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and an incredible, friendly staff. It’s outside the heart of Cape Town, but the main attractions are easy and quick to reach. We could also walk to a few great restaurants on Kloof Street, and the staff were helpful with recommendations. Highly recommend staying here!

My husband and I spent five nights here at the start of our South Africa adventure. The setting is beautiful, quiet, private, and set back from Cape Town, with Table Mountain only minutes away. Our room was contemporary, clean, and cozy. From arrival, the staff were attentive and did so much for us, including taking care of ironing. I was told, “we don’t iron on holiday.” They also gave us useful information, recommended several restaurants, and booked them for us. The food was wonderful, especially breakfast. My favourite was the eggs benedict with smoked salmon (florentine) and fresh fruit. If you want a unique retreat at the foot of Table Mountain, this is the place. I’d highly recommend it.

Kensington Place is tucked away in a quiet residential spot, though Kloof Street is only a short drive away. You wouldn't guess much from the street, but inside it feels like a lovely little boutique retreat. I've been back several times over three years, and the hospitality team has remained the same. On my latest visit, most of them remembered me and made me feel very welcome. The rooms I've stayed in have all been comfortable, peaceful, and nicely decorated, and I always enjoy the à la carte breakfast. Already looking forward to returning.

After a long day hiking and exploring, we came back to flowers, chocolate, and a bottle of bubbly in our room. There were even hot water bottles tucked into the bed. The staff were incredibly attentive throughout our stay, and the breakfast with fresh juices was fantastic. We had such a wonderful time at Kensington Place.

We were able to get some much-needed rest after the flight because Kensington's team let us check in at 8am. They had availability, and even moved us to a nicer room that was free at the time. We were only there for one night, but everyone was accommodating and lovely. The rooms are comfortable and trendy, with great views. Breakfast and coffee were included and delicious, and the staff were great, from helping us stay safe with taxis to sharing recommendations. I'd happily recommend it.
