Lighthouse Farm Backpackers Lodge

The garden sitting area has a nice mountain view, and the kitchen is roomy enough for several people to cook at once. The place is well run, with friendly staff and clean, tidy rooms.

A practical place with the basics, and good value for the money. I stayed in a single room. The toilets, showers, and bathrooms are shared, with separate areas for men and women. There’s also a communal kitchen with fridges, a microwave, kettle, and toaster, plus open parking on the property. The area seemed safe, and the room and hallways were kept clean. The WiFi wasn’t working during my stay. It’s not luxurious, but it does the job for somewhere to sleep.

I spent six nights at Lighthouse Farm Lodge and really enjoyed it. The service was great, the people were friendly, and the hostel was clean, with a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering. There’s open but secure parking, and it felt like a home away from home. It’s close to many of the most visited places, including Table Mountain, Camps Bay Beach, The majestic Waterfront, and Strand Beach. If you’re not after somewhere fancy, I’d recommend it. I’m already planning next year’s Cape Town vacation and will stay at the Lighthouse Farm lodge again.

I stayed two nights and had a terrible experience. There weren’t any charging pots in the rooms, and when I got back from work late, I couldn’t open the door. Nobody answered their phone. The mattresses were so thin I took another one from the other bed. When I checked out, they called me to put it back, which I did. 0000%.
