Living Hotel Lion´s Eye

This was our second visit. We first came in September 2025 and stayed in the hotel, then came back and rented two of the apartments attached to it for our family group of nine. They were spacious, clean, well kept, and had a fantastic view. The staff are what make this place stand out. They're welcoming, helpful, and do everything they can to support you. My father was unwell during the trip, and they did their best to make things easier for us. They let us check in early and stay later in the common areas, and were very attentive.

The staff made us feel like we owned the place from day one. Hats off to whoever trained them in such high level customer service. Our stay was fantastic, with exquisite decor and the establishment in great condition. It's in a very comfortable spot near the popular Camps Bay Area. Just a warning, you might end up wanting to stay in the room most of the time. ;)

We booked two nights at the Lion's Eye Luxury apartments in December. We asked to check in two hours early, but were told they'd only know at the time whether the apartment was ready, since they needed enough time to clean, prepare, and inspect it to meet expectations. When we arrived, there were no dishwasher tablets or dishwashing liquid, and the oven wasn't working. That first night, the dishwasher alarm went off, and we found it wasn't draining. We reported both problems to management the next morning and were told they'd fix them during the day. When we came back that afternoon, there was a letter saying they couldn't fix them. They offered use of the oven in the unit next door, a bottle of champagne, and access to the decks and pools. We chose to check out early. They promised a full refund on site, to be processed the following Monday, but we still haven't received it. Despite many calls and emails, there's been no communication. Wouldn't recommend.

We were booked into one of the apartments for 12/13 Dec 2025. On the first night we found the oven wasn't working, and the dishwasher was faulty too, with dirty water left sitting instead of draining. We told management the next morning, but they couldn't resolve the problems. The complimentary bottle of champagne didn't make up for the inconvenience. Since the amenities weren't as paid for, we checked out early and asked for a full refund. They promised on site to arrange it the following Monday. We still haven't received anything. Nobody from Lions Eye has contacted us, and they don't answer calls or emails. Shocking. Stay as far away as possible.
